I remember from our many summertime family reunions as our dads were brothers. Both families had many visits to The Danish Old Folks Home in Chicago, visiting our Grandpa Jens sharing smorgasbord delights. I was the oldest of all our cousins but I remember Steve running around our house with his brother Tommy and his other cousin, my brother Jay, just one year older than Steve.. and playing the deadly JARTS on our lawn. I visited Steve in his family home in Las Vegas when he was working for a car dealership. We met for dinner and drinks at The Stratosphere. We were also at a few family weddings together. He has always positive, smiling, FUNNY and caring. He even gave me his famous salsa recipe. He was a great cook like his dad. Our last meeting was at his mom’s 90th Birthday in Orlando. He had recently gotten engaged to Denise and they both were planning their wedding. I am so fortunate to have met her as well. They were a perfect match. I’m going to miss that great smile Steve always seemed to wear, and his engaging conversations but I have precious memories of Steve and our wonderful BIG Jensen Family. Rest in Peace dear cousin.
