Ronald "Ron" James Tucker's Obituary
Ronald “Ron” James Tucker, 74, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015. Ron was born in Beverly, Massachusetts and moved to the Leesburg, Florida area in 2000 from Georgetown, Massachusetts. He was an aircraft engineer with the General Electric Company for 32-years before retiring to Florida with his wife Linda. Those close to him will remember him as a people person who made friends easily, and for his good sense of humor. He is also described as an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. His hobbies included woodworking and computers, but he was happiest when he was on a cruise ship with Linda, who accompanied him on 25 different cruises. His survivors include Linda, his wife of 31 years;; his 4 daughters: Deborah Tucker of Floyd, Virginia; Dianna Ouellette of Parsonsfield, Maine; Denise Graves of Manchester, Massachusetts; and Dawn Prescott of Bradford, Massachusetts; his son Ronald James “Jamie” Tucker, Jr. of Burlington, VT; his brother Robert Tucker of Austin, Arkansas and his 14 grandchildren. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Ron’s name to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
