Dear Madson family, Romund was the AC&S division engineering manager, along with Bill Muir (his lieutenant), hired me into 3M as a project engineer fresh from UW Madison. (There wasn’t many of us female engineers back then). I fondly remember Romund and appreciate him. I ended up spending 35 wonderful years with 3M. Dear Madson Family, my belated condolences.
I had the pleasure to work with Romund a little bit in his last year before his retirement at 3M. (Believe in 1987?) Being old enough to remember WWII myself, I always enjoyed our conversations over lunch. You can be very proud of him. I had a lot of respect for him. He was truly one of the Greatest Generation!
