Rev. Harris is now celebrating at the table with Jesus our Lord. Fond memories of when we attended while Rev. Harris was pastor of Maryland City Baptist Church, Laurel, MD. He and Bonnie provided direction and inspiration for us both. But most of all were friends. Lots of good times hosting open house for friends when you were traveling through Laurel. We miss you and love you.Jack and Amber##imported-begin##Jack and Amber Beall##imported-end##
We have never met Reverend Wesley Harris but we feel as if we know him through the eyes of his son,Bruce Harris and daughter-in-law, Christina Carlton-Harris! Bruce always is there with a helping hand, a kind word and a giving heart. His love of his garden, his love of music, the fruits of his labor all were nurtured by his loving parents! We consider knowing Bruce and Christina Carlton-Harris to be a BLESSING! We thank them for letting us into their hearts and lives! We LOVE you both with all our hearts! Peace be with you both and with you, Reverend Wesley Harris! Dave and Nan Schuelke##imported-begin##Dave and Nanette Schuelke##imported-end##
I have never met Reverend Wesley Harris yet I feel as if I know what a wonderful man he was through knowing his son, Bruce Harris and his daughter-in-law, Christina Carlton-Harris over the past 3 years. Many of Bruce's stellar qualities must have been modeled to him by Reverend Wesley Harris. Qualities such as LOVE,JOY,PEACE,PATIENCE,KINDNESS,GOODNESS,FAITHFULNESS,GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL. Bruce has a gorgeous garden and I have been taught that "YOU ARE CLOSER TO GOD IN A GARDEN, THAN ANYPLACE ELSE ON EARTH!" Bruce builds with his hands just as Reverend Wesley Harris built the faith of his congregations. Bruce loves music and I was always taught that "MUSIC IS PRAYING TWICE!" Reverend Wesley Harris passed on these qualities to his son!##imported-begin##David and Nanette Schuelke##imported-end##
I'll always remember Rev. Harris, that low voice, that gentle smile. We meet while I was working at one of his Dr.s offices, and we discovered we are both from Maryland. Many many talks then of the bay,the small towns, the Md. blue crabs of my little church in Crumpton. My condolences to all of you, Ellen Wersten,in Leesburg, Fl. from Chestertown, Maryland##imported-begin##Ellen Wersten##imported-end##
To Rev. Harris' family, I think of him often when I'm thinking of Maryland. I meet Rev. Harris while working at Dr. Corteza's office and we discovered we were both from Md. It really is a small world! And many many conversations about Md. blue crabs and the waters,Chesapeake Bay, and my little church in Crumpton. We talked about the small towns, and he knew Chestertown, too. I'll miss you Rev. Harris, your soft voice, your gentle face and little smile! My condolences to all of you, Ellen Wersten, Leesburg, Fl. former Chestertown Maryland resident.##imported-begin##Ellen Wersten##imported-end##

My grandfather, Wesley Harris was truly one of a kind. He had such a gentle and giving soul...he would go above and beyond repeatedly because he didn't want to see anyone in need. He had a deep love of all things family. I believe the times he enjoyed most were the holidays when we would all be around the house talking, laughing, singing, and playing games. The one thing I can think he liked more than family was church especially if all of us were there. He served God faithfully and with a humbleness that you just don't find these days. I am sure he is rejoicing before the throne and can't wait for us to get there. I love you Pop and I always will.##imported-begin##Sarah Long##imported-end##
