Peter Charles Guido's Obituary
Peter “Pete” Guido, 71, of Leesburg, Florida passed peacefully at Shands Hosptial after a brief battle with an aggressive lung disease on August 18, 2018 surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Pete is survived by his wife and best friend Mariann of 49 years, his 3 daughters and son-in-laws Jennifer (Steve) Frezon of Austin, TX, Marci (Sean) Norton of Prospect, CT and Christina (Anthony) Colson of Tampa, FL, 7 grandchildren, Cameron, Carson and Cadon (Frezon) , Sara and Tyler (Norton), Anthony and Dominick (Colson), half sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Scott) Fisher, Aunt Louise Gardecki and many loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Pete was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Charles Guido and his mother, Frances Jean Scoville.
Pete grew up in Kingston, NY and graduated from Kingston High School in 1965. He served our country in Vietnam, receiving a Purple Heart Medal, and Europe before returning to Kingston and meeting Mariann. Pete was a Sales Manager for Brown & Williamson for 35 years and served many years as a Volunteer Fireman at Ulster Hose Company #5 before retiring to Leesburg to enjoy the good life. He loved golf, camping and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a great guy who could always make you laugh and was willing to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by many.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Pennbrooke Fairways Activity Center on Thursday August 23rd at 1pm. A second service will be held on Sunday September 2nd at 1pm at the Ulster Hose Company #5 Fire Station.
