Oralia Suris Tappan's Obituary
Oralia Suris Tappan, 93, of Leesburg passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. Mrs. Tappan was born June 15, 1919 in Camaguey, Cuba to the late Adolfo and Leocadia (Caraballo) Suris. She moved to Leesburg in July of 2012 from Maryland. She was a retired Interior Decorator, enjoyed sewing, making crafts and ceramics and belonged to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors include her son, Richard Tappan of Costa Rica; daughter, Peggy (Doug) Briggman of Leesburg; brother, Adolfo Suris of Pennsylvania; twin sister, Enriqueta Rodriguez of California; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pedro Ricardo Serafin Tappan and 2 daughters, Lerida Barlow and Miriam Buchanan.A graveside service will be held in Maryland National Memorial Park, Laurel, Md.
