I'm not sure how to begin to talk about a life that spanned nearly a century, and whose life impacted so many.Abuela thank you for the gift of life we've all be given inpart because of you. My Abuela was a huge part of my life and upbringing. She was born 1919-2012. Before the radio to the internet and skyping. My last memory seeing my Abuela was on skype. She would be so surprised to see me on the computer. Lelita, I see you but we both couldn't hug and kiss each other. My Abuela was so loving and affectionate. We would walk holding hands or arm in arm. I loved her cooking, and going to the grocery store and running errands with her. She loved butter pecan ice cream, good chocolates, and doritos. I loved how she picked her fruit. And yes she carried hard candies in her purse with her, especially the caramel ones.Abuela was very resilient. She endured all of lifes bitterness but indulged in all of lifes sweetness. For she was so sweet and beautiful. Growing up in Cuba one of 7 children. She was the youngest and a twin to her surviving sister Enriqueta. She loved her parents and family very much. Abuela and Abuelo came to the USA and worked very hard to raise a family. She was a seamstress, fabric upholster, craftman. An artist in beauty and quality of materials. Even sculpting.I will never forget the years and heartache she indured while my Abuelo was ill. And the grace and strength she endured until his death in 1997. I was very proud of how independent she had to become even though she didn't drive. My Abuela was heartbroken after her 2 daughters passed away in 2011. But she stayed strong in her prayers for all her family members. Abuela I will miss those prayer from you. When my Abuela moved in March 2009 it was very hard on me and the family members that were left behind. She embraced and loved her family memebers that got to know her after many years. I could go on and on about my Abuela our stories and special love and connection. The last thing she said to me and always says to me and other family was Lelita "One day we will all be together in heaven with all our family and our Heavenly Father". That she loved us so much and she always prays for us. I will miss you, and you will always be in my heart. Rest in peace Abuela your granddaughter Lerida Oralia Heinrich.##imported-begin##Lerida Oralia Heinrich##imported-end##

She was my sweet little "abuelita". An artist at heart; she saw the beauty in everything. Easy to tickle and quick with a prayer to "Jesus", asking him to bless all she knew and loved. She always believed the best in people. I am very sad that she is gone. But I'm sure she went willingly; believing she was going to meet her maker.##imported-begin##Janet##imported-end##
Mom was a wonderful woman and was most all the time a joy to be around. She will be missed just as Dad has been. I still remember meeting her and Dad when Peggy and I dated. (however brief) All I can say is that she was loved and will be missed.Rest now Mom, Next thing you will see is the face of Jesus.Doug BriggmanSon, in truth##imported-begin##Doug Briggman##imported-end##

She was my next door neighbor for over 20 years. She and Mr. Tappan were like an extra set of grand parents to my children, Christine & Michael. We missed her when she moved away, but we will miss her more now that she is gone. She will never be forgotten.##imported-begin##Susan Cannon##imported-end##
