Norma Duncan Hurst's Obituary
Norma Duncan Hurst, 89, Leesburg, FL. went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2013 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Cornerstone Hospice. Mrs. Hurst was born on August 1, 1924 in Trough Fork, West Virginia to her parents Gratt and Della Duncan. Mrs. Hurst was a retired Elementary School Teacher from Heard Mixon Elementary School in Covington, GA. She and her husband moved to Leesburg 8 years ago from Zolfo Springs, FL and was a Covenant Partner with The Fathers House Christian Center in Leesburg, FL. She is survived by her loving daughters: Dreama Michael and Candy (Don) Goodhart both of Leesburg, FL; a brother and a sister: James Duncan and Freida Bower both of McDonough, GA; six grandchildren: Julie Child, John Michael, Nicole Costello, Andrea Dearing, Keli Goodhart and Terry Goodhart; twelve Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 71 years Chilton Hurst and a brother Harry Duncan. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10:00AM at The Fathers House Christian Center at 2301 South Street, Leesburg, FL. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30AM till the hour of service at the church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL.
