Mrs. Hurst was a beautiful friend. I actually knew her her before I started teaching through my parents. Mr. Hurst was my first principal and she taught at Heard-Mixon also. I visited them in their home MANY times on Jackson Lake and then my husband and I visited them several times after they retired to Florida. She and I kept up through mail/phone calls through the years. She will be sorely missed.

Please accept my sympathies on Mrs. Hurst's death. She was one of my most beloved teachers at Heard Mixon. She and I continued to keep in touch with Christmas cards each year. My card was returned this year so I went online in an attempt to find a new address and found this notice. She was a great teacher and wonderful lady. I will miss her.

I met Norma at Bible Study held at Candy's home. Norma and I were "seat buddies" - we'd share a little table and help each other find answers. She was always there with a ready smile and a warm hug. Sometimes it's a cliche, but Norma really WAS the sweetest woman I've ever met (although her two daughters rank right up close!). To see Norma with Neely as he progressed to needing more and more help was to see a woman who was selfless and totally caring. She had a pure, clear soul, and she touched so very many people in the few years she lived here in Legacy. I am sorry to learn of her death, but rejoice with her in the knowledge that she is with our Lord and Savior and with her beloved husband again. May God grant her family peace and comfort at this difficult time. cjClarke
