BIll and Sons,
I am just now finding out that dear Nancy has passed away, although I knew she was very sick. The memories flood and overwhelm me right now. Nancy and I go back to Stanley Hall grade school days, and all the wonders of growing up - Brownies, Girl Scouts, high school, college - we did it all together. Nancy went with my parents and me to our home on Key Biscayne when we were 13. She stayed two weeks then we sent her home on the train. Maybe that was the beginning of Nancy's love affair with Florida. We also went to camp together after our 8th grade year. Camped on a hilltop in the "primitive" division, digging our own latrines and cooking our meals over a camp fire. Nancy was always "gung ho" about anything worthwhile.
I also remember how delightful Nancy's mother was - the intrepid Wilma - and her great dad, Ralph.
The last time I saw Nancy was the day before our 1990 reunion, when we met for lunch, and we had a wonderful afternoon of reminiscences. I wanted to get to the 2010 reunion, but it didn't work out. Shirley Whipple Titzer tells me she enjoyed being around Nancy at that reunion. I will let Shirley know Nancy has passed away.
BIll - fond memories of you also at EC. Take care of yourself and your family, and my deepest sympathies on your great loss. Nancy was indeed a shining light for us all.
Love always,
