Marilyn was a dynamic lady to work with at the Department of Corrections for so many years. No task was too great, no accomplishment too small for this lady. Her devotion to the Scouts was evident in her everyday life, affecting many around her. She has now achieved the highest status awarded, Angel.

My condolences to Marilyn's family... She will be greatly missed! I had the pleasure of working with Marilyn at the Department of Corrections. She trained me at work and was a wealth of knowledge! I told her, "I'll never know as much as you, nor be as good as you!" She said, "You'll be just like me, everybody will be coming to you to fix everything!" Boy! Was she right! She was a great teacher with a Big Heart! She was my mentor and friend! RIP Marilyn.
Thanks to Bonnie Daly for posting on facebook as we haven't been in touch with other scouts for a few years since my son was in Cub scouts there Pack 143. My husband, Don Raber worked with dear Maryland, with the Pack. I think I was there, when she was awarded the SILVER BEAVER Award!!
May her family be blessed to know she made a difference in helping the young kids do something with their time & learn things with her help! That pic was how I'll remember her too! Always smiling!

Maralyn was a one of a kind woman, who dedicated her life to others. She made a difference in so many lives through her service to her community. She will be missed. Marilyn Shaw was one of a kind. I met Marilyn in 1999 when my son Taylor Youngblood first entered Cub Scouts as a tiger cub. I can remember her at meetings, campouts, parades, pine wood derby, cake bakes, day camp.....just about every scouting adventure, she was there. Marilyn was the definition of an outstanding volunteer. She dedicated her time to scouting selflessly, never there for the recognition, but always there for the boys. She was a tremendous positive influence in my son's life....she encouraged him through all his scouting years....and I know she was proud the day he became an eagle scout. Marilyn...We are so blessed you choose to share your love of scouting with us, your smile will be greatly missed.
