Hannah Kramer
I just learned about Joyce's death and I can't stopped weeping. So much of my early life was spent with her and her loving family. I have such wonderful memories of spending overnight at her house on Cheltenham Ave in Phila..When my father died in 1963 my emotional world collapsed. What saved me was the love and generosity of Joyce and her dear parents. I was considered a member of the family and was invited to all family functions. Her mother Anna was a wonderful cook and seamstress and made me a beautiful gown . When we were older Joyce would drive us to her parents modest summer home in NJ. We would start cooking as soon as we arrived. We had many youthful adventures especially as members of Young Judea. We lost touch after she married but I remember her happiness when her daughter was born.
Joyce and her family were my saviors in those years.
