Jean was a warm, friendly, caring, and fun loving lady. We were welcomed into Hawthorne by Tom and Jean and we have enjoyed 10 years of visits, dinners, concerts, and good times with them. We admired her dedication to her family and friends and her persistence with scorekeeping even as her health deteriorated. She hosted softball team parties at her house that were always enjoyable. We will miss her deeply.

We met Jean through. Her husband was the coach. She always had something nice to say about everyone. She was a gracious hostess at our "team parties". Her cooking was delicious, and she was happy to share her recipes. We will miss you. Your Hawthorne friends, Tom and Nancy Green.
Jean and I were at Trader Vic’s in Chicago. We were sharing a drink called a Scorpion. It was huge. We connected straws to make them long enough to so we could share the drink because we were sitting across from each other. The drink had a gardenia floating in it so, of course we had to order another so we could both have a gardenia to wear. You can guess the rest.
I’m so sorry to hear of Jeans passing. We used to have so much fun on the train going to and from work. She was a wonderful woman.
