Rev. Gregory Robert Brown's Obituary
Gregory Robert Brown, 66, of Wildwood, FL, began his Heavenly journey on October 31, 2025, with his loving family at his side. Greg was born on January 30, 1959, in Denver City, TX to his parents, Harold and Vera (Stewart) Brown.
Greg spent his teenage years attending high school in South Africa, where his parents were in Christian service there, and he followed in their footsteps.
On January 12, 1980, Greg married his beloved wife, Beverly Mills.
Greg was a devoted man of God. He went on many missions to Russia, Ireland, Philippines, Kenya and Republic of South Africa and continued on his pastoral work for 44 years. Greg retired as a reverend from the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene, where he dedicated 13 years. Prior to that he was with the Church of the Nazarene in Kansas, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia before settling in Florida in 2011.
In his free time, Greg enjoyed playing golf, scuba diving and sailing. He was also a very talented musician of many instruments, mainly piano, and bass guitar- which he played in a jazz band in The Villages.
Greg would be described as a tender hearted man with kind eyes. He will be missed dearly by the many people he touched over the years as a pastor and those he helped selflessly during their darkest times. He will be remembered fondly for being a great listener, being a safe space for others to come to and his wonderful sense of humor. Greg loved to make people laugh.
Greg is survived by his adoring wife of 45 years, Beverly Brown, his children; Sharisa Brown Crayton (Torris), Robert Stewart Brown and Brittany Kristen Brown, his precious granddaughters: Emily Cloud, 21, and Ella Cloud, 16, and his brothers: Timothy and Richard Brown.
