Claire M. Merlino, 91, of Leesburg, FL passed peacefully on June 9th, 2026. She was born on October 3rd, 1934, in Boston, MA.
Claire loved travelling with her beloved husband Carmen. Whether on cruises, vacations throughout the US, winning on casino slot machines or visiting family and friends in New England, among many other places, she enjoyed every minute. Her warmth, sense of humor and genuine interest in others created friendships that spanned decades and generations of people who loved her, leaving those who knew her with lasting memories and her numerous catch phrases.
She was predeceased by her spouse of 43 years, Carmen A. Merlino. She is survived by her nephews, Stephen Hourin (Tracey), Roger Hourin (Tracy), her niece, Karen Harbour, grandchildren, many great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends who will continue to honor her legacy of curiosity and kindness.
