Forever one of my favorite people.
Claire & Carmen treat 17 year old Steve & Roger to a trip to Tampa in 1986.
One evening upon returning from dinner and drinks Claire & Carmen come back to hotel to find the boys sporting a 6 pack of beer in hot tub. Claire demands boys to surrender beer while accusing boys of intoxication.
Roger then points to Carmen- who stumbles in behind her and trips over patio chair: "What about him [Carmen]?",
to which Claire replies without blinking, "He's mad!".
Claire and I loved reminiscing about our years in Brockton raising our families and the fun we had with them.
Since Carmen and Claire's move to
florida, we have kept each other up to date with an occasional call..
We would go on forever, talking, and with lots of laughter and silliness for sure ....Our last conversation, a couple of weeks ago, was the shortest ever....for us...I could tell she wasn't herself and....She said I'll call you back..
Well we know we have more to say...right Claire?...We will meet again Friend....God Bless You ..I love you... Denise Kelleher
