Byron Kenneth Overbeck, Jr.'s Obituary
Byron Kenneth Overbeck, Jr., 82, Leesburg, FL went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2012 in Tavares, Florida. Mr. Overbeck was retired Lieutenant Commander from the U.S. Navy in which he proudly served. He moved to Leesburg from Port Charlotte over 15 year ago and was of the Christian faith. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a “Very Proud American” and was a member of The American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, American Officers Association, The Moose Lodge, The Eagles Lodge, The Elks Lodge, Disabled American Veterans, National Rifle Association and the Military Officers Association. He is survived by his son: Byron Kenneth Overbeck, III and his wife Sherry of Palm Bay, FL; three daughters: Christina Kinney of Skinneyatlas Falls, NY, Deborah Sohn and husband Andrew of Leesburg, FL and Bonnie Lee of Fort Lauderdale, FL; eight grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one niece. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois Overbeck. . Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 12:00pm at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 11:00am till the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida with full military honors. Services entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Leesburg, Fl.
