Benjamin (Ben) Guthrie, age 83, of The Villages, FL, passed away on July 3, 2016. He was born in Washington, DC on February 19, 1933 to the late Dewey and Margaret Guthrie. Ben is survived by his wife, Betty, his daughters, Debor Read Obituary

We are so sorry for your lost. Ben was a very special man, kind, loving and that tender and genuine smile was so special. He will never be forgotten. The love for each other was so radiant that spread thru out. Ben, you kept your faith, you fought a good fight and you finished the race.
We have been blessed to have you both in our life. Betty May God and Ben be with you always.

My prayers go out to the family. I was a usher at St. marks with Ben doing the six o clock mass . He will be miss may his soul rest in peace.
Ben and I worked together for a number of years at Nancy Lopez Golf Course. Our relationship was in the Golf Country Club Retail and golf reservation center. Ben was always friendly with all employees and especially with our customers. We missed him when he retired and the shop lost a special person. Ben, we will always miss you.
In a second relationship Ben and Betty met my wife Maria at St. Marks church. That was always a treat on Sunday mornings as Ben and Maria chided each other.
Ben, we will all miss you.

Want you all to know how truly sorry for your loss of Ben. He is a wonderful man to have known throughout my time in the St Mark's choir with Betty and he was always there throughout his illness to pray with us on Sundays, concerts, etc. He was a good fighter in all he endured.
