Around 1993, Art and I teamed up for a SMW tennis tournament......surprising mostly ourselves, we won. Helen, Art's bride, told me how proud he was of that little trophy as it was his first ever. Art always had a smile and an encouraging word for everybody. I suppose that after flying his beloved P-38 in WW2, any new obstacle was pretty minor.

I am sorry to learn of Art's passing. He was one of my favorite boat drivers here at the Park. He always left the Office with a warm greeting and a smile as he left to share a cocktail with his daughter prior to driving home. I shall miss him a great deal.
