William "Ed" Ramey's Obituary
William Ramey (Ed), age 87, passed away in Leesburg Hospital, Leesburg, Florida December 19, 2025. Born in Logan, West Virginia, he was the son of the late William E. and Elsie (Zimmerman) Ramey. Ed was married to Joyce Marshall Ramey on January 28, 2006.
Ed was preceded by death by his sister, Shelia Loyd, and brother Floyd Ramey. Ed is survived by his previous wife, Gina Ramey, his two daughters, Robin Shinn, Tara Ramey, three granddaughters, Taelor Shinn, Idalis Norris and husband Josiah Norris, Alyssa Smith, and great granddaughter, Madison Norris, plus several nephews and niece. Also has 3 stepsons, Jay Warrington, Jonathan Warrington and Patrick https://Harrison.Ed was a past member of the United States Marine Corps as a traffic controller. After getting out, Ed became a golf course superintendent and went on to become a golf course director in the South Florida area. He was past president of SEGCSA. He was honored by his peers in South Florida with a lifetime achievement award. He also was the Commander of Post 55 in Clermont, Florida. After that he served as Junior Governor of the Moose Lodge, Post 1215 in Minneola, https://Florida.In his last days, he had dementia which kept him pretty much home. He will be sorely missed by all.
