Bill, Dave and Paul. I was hoping to be with you and your families today, but time and distance prevented that from happening. However, please know that Nancy, Cameron and I are with you in spirit on this memorable day.Although it has been some time since we last had a chance to get together with your Mom and Dad, they have been and always will be, a very special part of my life. I will always remember our family get-togethers as we were growing up. Dinners at Ma and Pa's, at your house in Port Credit, at our place in Etobicoke or at Helen and George's place in Waterloo. I remember your Dad as he raced his slot car around the track in your basement and his excitement at beating the rest of us to the finish line. I remember your Mom, the more conservative of the two, trying to get him back upstairs to participate in the serious "grown-up" discussions. Those were the days! Lots of great memories with you three and your Mom and Dad... memories that will never be forgotten. It was a shock when I got the call from Sue letting me know that your Dad, my special uncle, Bill, had passed. It was an even greater shock when I learned that your Mom had also passed. What a week!Your Mom and Dad were true soul mates, much like my Mom and Dad. As difficult as losing the two of them in such a short time may be to those who knew them, it is comforting to know that they once again are together. Your Mom and Dad will always be very special to me. Some have said that I am very much like your Dad in many ways, particluarly when it comes to our sense of humour; although I never have been able to play the piano the magical way your Dad could. I think this comparison is one of the biggest compliments ever paid me.May your Mom and Dad rest in peace and may they continue to look over your shoulders and give you guidance through your journeys here on earth. Be well. Colin##imported-begin##Colin##imported-end##
