William " Bill " Liles' Obituary
Bill Liles, 66, of Orlando passed away on May 4, 2017 at the family home in Leesburg. He was loved by all who knew him. A graduate of Boone High School, he was an outstanding athlete, waterman, and craftsman. Bill was a pioneer of surfing beginning in the late 60’s. He served honorably in the US Army 4th Infantry Division from 1975-1979, and subsequently was a Contractor in the construction industry for 35 years. Bill was an avid reader and captivating storyteller, who loved an early morning breakfast while reading the newspaper at the local Diner. Bill was very devoted to his immediate and extended family. He loved schooling his grandchildren in sports, fishing, and other outdoor activities. He is survived by his 3 loving children, Tanya Pruett of Leesburg, Jessica Stanton of Deltona, and Issac of Orlando, their mother Diane Wood of Leesburg, his mother Teresa Dilling and sister Lorraine of Lake Mary, brothers Kenneth and Martin of Cocoa Beach, Philip of Milton, and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at — pm on May—, 2017, at Good News Church, 400 Executive Blvd, Leesburg, FL 34748 (352) 315-1695.
