William "Bill" Herman Kintop's Obituary
William “Bill” Herman Kintop age 85, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in Leesburg, Florida. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and spent much of his life in York, Pennsylvania where he owned and operated a filling station and a taxi company. He also managed 4 auto part stores before retiring. He was a person who loved people so he returned to work as an assembler for Wal-Mart in York, Pennsylvania and Leesburg, Florida. Bill will be remembered for his positive upbeat attitude and his jovial whit which was readily used on all those who crossed his path. He liked to work with his hands and was an accomplished wood worker and a general all around craftsman, but he was happiest when he was cooking for and entertaining his friends with his special mini cheesecakes. He was pre-deceased by his wife of over 50 years Evelyn.
His survivors include: His son Wayne Kintop of East York, PA; a daughter- Dawn Tomlinson of West York, PA; a sister – Jean McCormick; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will take place at the Clubhouse of Corley Island Mobile Manor in Leesburg, Florida at 12:00 P. M. – Saturday, November 29, 2014. Friends are encouraged to come with a story about Bill to share.
