William Forrest Burleigh Jr's Obituary
William Forrest Burleigh Jr. passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the age of 90. He was born on June 13, 1922 in Oakland, NY to the late William Sr. and Mildred Burleigh. William served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for many years as a pest control technician, and in his spare time he enjoyed refurbishing and painting automobiles and had a real love for photography. William also served his church for many years as a deacon for the First Baptist Church of Fruitland Park. He is survived by his son; William ‘Billy’ III (Joy) Burleigh of Fruitland Park, a sister Janis Mansfield of S.C., a brother Reginald Burleigh of Tavares, along with four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth C. Burleigh, a daughter; Ann Richardson, and two sisters; Doris Godfrey, and Virginia Oliver. A visitation for Mr. Burleigh will be held on Monday, April 22nd in the Page-Theus Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23rd. at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Janet L. Galbreath officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
