Whitney C. Fore's Obituary
Whitney Chaffin Fore, 39, passed away at the home of her parents, John and Linda Fore, in The Villages on March 20, 2018. A resident of Lexington, Va., Whitney was born on June 7, 1978 in Martinsville, Va. In addition to her parents, Whitney is survived by her sister, Melissa Fore Wheeler of Alvo, Nebraska, her brother, J. Wyatt Fore, of Washington, D.C., and her brother, Matthew Compton Fore, of Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, Whitney leaves her brother-in-law, Gary Wheeler, her nephew, Dalton Wheeler, both of Nebraska, her uncle, Mickey Poole of The Villages and Lake Frederick, Va., and cousins Nathan Poole and Andrew Poole of Virginia.
Whitney was pre-deceased by her grandparents, F.T. and Ruth Compton and John and Bunny Fore, and by her aunt, Charlotte Fore Poole.
Born with special needs, Whitney brought great joy to her family. She loved nothing more than teasing her dad, traveling with her family, and talking about family memories, including her dog, Lucy.
The family is grateful for the loving care Whitney received from Presbyterian Family Services and from the staff at the HumanKind group home in Lexington, Va.
The family will honor Whitney’s life at a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to do so to make donations to HumanKind, 57 Basil Lane, Lexington, Va. or to Special Olympics.
