Wayne Lee Wildt's Obituary
Wayne Lee Wildt, age 68, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida. Wayne was born in Albion, Michigan and moved back to the Leesburg area about a year ago from Lakeland, Florida. He attended Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg. He spent most of his life working the land as a farmer in Michigan. He also had a 15 year career as a Corrections Officer for the Jackson State Prison in Michigan. He will be fondly remembered as a man who always had a joke and a warm smile. He was also an immense sport fan who always cheered for Michigan State, the Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 4 years – Josie; Stepsons- David Riker, New Orleans; and Billy Wilson, MI; Stepdaughters – Cindy Kirkbride, Teri Fogel, Cathi Kroul, Joan VanGorder, ReNae Anderson, and Ruth O’Dell all of Michigan; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will be hosting a memorial service in the Lemon Lime Room at the Hawthorne Community Club House on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 10:00 A. M.
A second memorial service is being planned in October, at the First Presbyterian Church in Homer, Michigan.
