Wayne Samuel Aban's Obituary
Wayne Samuel Aban, 72, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on November 11, 2025. Wayne was born on January 31, 1953, in Barbados to his parents, Gouldan and Sylvia (Lewis) Aban.
Wayne was raised in Grenada and attended college in Canada. He then spent most of his life in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a Bioengineer for St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York, NY. Wayne was a dedicated Christian man and a founding member of Church Avenue Church of God in Brooklyn where he regularly attended services.
In 2014, he eventually settled in Florida and began attending services at Praise Temple Church of God in Groveland. He also attended meetings with the Men of Faith in Arlington Ridge.
Wayne enjoyed electronics and collected gadgets of all different kinds. He also enjoyed photography and traveling. Wayne was a friendly, outgoing and helpful man. His selfless nature meant that he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Wayne will be missed dearly and remembered fondly, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Agnes "Aggie" Aban, his daughters: Selene (Miguel), Sylvia, Cheryl, Jennifer, Alison (Chris) and Elaine (Delon), as well as his siblings: Annmarie, Amryl, Hallman and Junior, and many precious grandchildren including Aniyah, Isaiah and Angelique and three great grandchildren.
Wayne is preceded in passing by his parents and a brother Jeffrey.
