Wanda Gail Fields' Obituary
Wanda Gail Fields, 65, of Astatula, FL, passed away on November 5, 2022, at Orlando Regional Hospital. Wanda was a Florida Native, born in Jacksonville on May 7, 1957, to her loving parents Osgood and Rosa (Gorum) Griffith.
Wanda was a dedicated Detention Deputy at the Lake County Correctional Facility for 29 years until her retirement in 2016. Wanda was a naturally nurturing and caring person, she always put her loved ones first and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to others. Though she prided herself on her independence, she had several close friends who meant a lot to her.
Wanda was always active and loved to walk, especially with her dog, Daisy. She enjoyed reading romance novels, Star Wars, and traveling in her RV with family. Wanda's absolute favorite thing was her sweet tea from McDonald's. She shared wonderful memories with family on their RV trips to the Florida Keys and Las Vegas.
Wanda will be missed dearly by her loving friends and family.
Wanda is survived by her mother; Rosa Griffith, her beloved children: Charles Fields and his wife Geri Brown of Okinawa, Japan and Frances Parker and her husband Larry of Waverly, TN. As well as two brothers: Larry and Timothy of Leesburg, FL, 8 precious grandchildren: Phillip, Claibourne, Sebastian, Ryan, Nicole, Ethan, Logan, and Wyatt, and her adored dog: Daisy.
Wanda is preceded in death by her father, Osgood, and a sister, Judy.
