Wallace Robert Arthur's Obituary
Wallace 'Wally' Robert Arthur passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010, he was 54 years young. He was born in Leesburg, FL. on June 19, 1955 to the late Robert and Betty Arthur. He grew up here in the Lake County area, attended the Baptist Church, and worked for over 26 years for Waste Management. Wallace loved the outdoors, especially spending time in his garden or fishing. He also loved reading. One of his favorite pass times was to sit outside, under a shade tree reading science fiction. Wallace also took great pride in his fish tanks. Some of his fish he had for over 30 years. Family and friends will probably best remember him for his cooking. Wallace loved to cook, and had many specialties that became family favorites. He is survived by his daughter Sherry (Danny) Bechtel, two sons; Christopher Arthur and Jason (Ashley) Arthur, grandchildren; Taylor and Ashleigh Youngblood, and Gage, Riley and Kolby Arthur. Wallace is also survived by three sisters Elizabeth Payne, Teresa Gardner and Sue Hunnewell, many nieces, and nephews. Wallace especially loved his grand-children and was extremely proud of their many accomplishments in scouts, dance, sports and school. Wallace was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a man who spoke his mind, had a unique sense of humor, and would help anyone in need. The family has requested that memorial contributions in Wallace's honor be made to Boy Scout Troop 1 of Leesburg, so that young boys will have the chance to experience the great outdoors.
