Vicki L. Burdin's Obituary
Vicki L. Burdin, 78, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2015. Vicki was born on September 19, 1936 in Kalamazoo, MI to her parents Wilfred and Dollie Cobb. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1954. Shortly after high school she got a job as a telephone operator and then went to beauty school and was a beautician for about 10 years. Vicki and her husband James moved to Fruitland Park, FL in 1986 from Bristol, IN. She was an active member of her church, Leesburg Christian Center and enjoyed her Bible study. Vicki was also a member of the Red Hat Society here in Leesburg and after she bowled a perfect game she became a member of the 300 club. She enjoyed her church, Bible study, singing, her ipad, puzzles, cooking and going to Webster Flea Market. Of all the things Vicki loved, what she loved most of all was being a mom and spending time with her family. Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 54 years: James H Burdin, of Fruitland Park, FL; Sons: Ross Burdin, of Leesburg, FL and Ryan (Barbara) Burdin, of South Bend, IN; Daughter: Rhonda (Ronald) Woodard, of Ocala, FL; Brother: Robert (Nancy) Cobb, of Brighton, MI; Sister: Joanne McIntosh, of Bangor, ME; Grandchildren: Aaron M. (Kim) Burdin, David M. Burdin, and Camee L. Burdin; and three Great-Grandchildren: Keegan Burdin, Eva Burdin, and Hannah Burdin. A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 3, 2015 at Leesburg Christian Center at 10:30 A.M. After the service the family invites you to join them at the church for lunch and to share memories of Vickie.
