Verdie Lee Graves' Obituary
Verdie Lee Graves passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the age of 87. She was born on February 5, 1924 in Bradford County, FL to the late Tom and Sarah Jane Hodge. She had moved to the Lake County area from Miami in 1948. She was known for being a loving mother and grandmother, and she also had a great love for her church, and the Lord. Verdie is survived by one daughter Connie (Paul) Morrison of Leesburg, three grandchildren: Jason (Melissa) Morrison of Leesburg, with their three children Bobby, Tori, and Cierra, Gina (Bruce) Mason of Mt. Dora, with their four children, Michael, Malayna, Jayden, and Amaya, and Paul (Tiffany) Morrison of Leesburg with their two children Landon and Eliza. She is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren Tiffany (Ryan) Langston, Chelsea Mason and Brandon Mason, and one step-great-great-grandchild, Lexie Langston. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert Graves on Dec. 19, 1988. Funeral Services for Verdie will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Fruitland Park, FL. Burial will follow in the family plot in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 in the Page-Theus Funeral Home from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Memorials in Verdie’s honor may be directed toward either Cornerstone Hospice, or the Trinity Assembly of God Church.
