Thomas Patrick DuBois Sr's Obituary
Thomas Patrick DuBois, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Thomas was born on January 2, 1954, in Belcourt, North Dakota to Andrew and Catherine (Allery) DuBois.
Thomas moved from Joliet, Illinois and relocated to Leesburg, Florida in 2006. He was a proud member of the Turtle Mountain (Ojibwe) Tribe and a devout Catholic. He spent 46 years married to the love of his life, Lula Dubois, who passed away on February 22, 2020.
Thomas was a quiet man of few words but always knew the right time to say a pun or a “dad joke”. He was the type of person that you knew you could always count on. After retiring from his position as a Chemical Plant Operator on February 1, 2016, he spent his free time teaching himself how to play guitar and write music. A favorite band of his that he would listen to on a vinyl record was the Rolling Stones. His love for rock n’ roll can be seen in his sheets of music that he carefully took the time to create.
Thomas leaves behind a loving family and friends that adored him. He is survived by his loving children, Reneé DuBois (Damaso Landor), Thomas DuBois Jr., six grandchildren Raven, Michaela, Thomas III, Damaso III, Theodore and Tyler. Loving sisters Marie DeCoteau (Oklahoma), Carol Dubois (Arizona), Darlene Nelson (Illinois), Elaine Postpichal (Florida), Patricia Handorf (Mexico)and brothers Donny (Illinois) Joe (Florida) and Gerard (Nevada), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Andrew DuBois, Catherine Reaney (Allery), loving wife Lula DuBois (Walter) and brothers Ted, Ed, Ernie, Richard, Tony, and Gene.
