Sylvia J. Tennyson's Obituary
Sylvia Jadrich Tennyson. age 91, of Howey in the Hills, Florida passed away early Friday morning at Florida Hospital – Waterman in Tavares, Florida. She was born in North Chicago, IL and moved to Florida over 20 years ago from Evansville, Indiana. She graduated from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona, Minnesota receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. She was a loving wife and mother of 9 children, an avid golfer and loved attending services at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her caring acts such as shipping frosted birthday cakes packed in popcorn to kids who were away at college, her humility, her love of cars, her humor, her fashion savvy, her sense of adventure and her invincible spirit. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 65 years, Richard Tennyson, and one daughter, Martha (Marti) Butler (Dave Butler).She is survived by: 5 Sons – Peter (Mary Eileen) Tennyson – Newport Beach, CA; Michael (Marci Little) Tennyson – St. Charles, MO; Steve (Colleen) Tennyson – West Lafayette, IN; Roger (Heidi Wright) Tennyson – Hilton Head, SC; and Brian (Jeanne) Tennyson – Los Angeles, CA; 3 Daughters – Mary Tennyson – Olympia, WA; Sharon (Steve Coate) Tennyson – Ithaca, NY; and Jan (Jeff) Weinzapfel – Evansville, IN; Brothers – Joseph (Mary) Jadrich and Leonard (Shirley) Jadrich, 19 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 8:30 A. M. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg, Florida. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the Page-Theus Funeral Home 914 West Main St., Leesburg, Florida. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul’s Catholic School, 1330 Sunshine Ave., Leesburg, FL 34748. All arrangements are under the careful direction of Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg, Florida.
