Steven Donald Lavoie's Obituary
Steven Donald Lavoie, 56, Leesburg, Florida passed away suddenly on September 30, 2022 at UF Health Leesburg Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Steven was born on April 11, 1966 in Nashua, New Hampshire to his parents Arthur W. Lavoie and Jacqueline D. (Morin) Lavoie.
Steve and his wife Lisa moved originally from Nashua, New Hampshire to Kissimmee 31 years ago and then from Kissimmee to Leesburg, Florida 3 years ago. Steve was employed as a Principal Engineering Technologist for Phasor Engineering, LLC. He knew his wife Lisa since 1984 when they were in High School together and have been in love since they first met. Steve was the best father to his children, Jack and Molly, and the best husband to his wife Lisa. He was a very caring, compassionate and selfless person to all that knew him. Steve had an artistic gift in creating jewelry by repurposing computer parts. He loved to spend time with his two rescue dogs, Walden and Sophie, who will miss him dearly. His humor, patience, love and devotion to his children and wife will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years: Lisa A. Lavoie of Leesburg, FL; his two loving children: Jack Lavoie and his partner Amanda Davis of Atlanta, GA and Molly Lavoie of New York City, NY; his mother: Jacqueline M. Lavoie of St. Cloud, FL; two brothers: Matthew Lavoie of Raleigh, NC and Daniel G. Lavoie and his wife Cindy Lavoie of Willow Springs, NC; his brother and sister in-laws: Richard Atkinson and Trice Atkinson of Nashua, NH.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved father, Arthur W. Lavoie.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at a later date by the family.
