Steven Michael Gershenoff's Obituary
Steven Michael Gershenoff, of Spruce Creek Del Webb Golf & Country Club, Summerfield, Florida passed away on November 17, 2025 at the age of 80.
Steven was born on January 20, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York to his loving parents Lillian and Philip Gershenoff. He is a graduate of Texas A & M, Corpus Christi, Texas. Steven owned a messenger service in New York City for many years. After selling his business, Steven realized he was too young and not ready to retire. Steven became a bail bondsman and discovered his calling. He rapidly grew this into a thriving business, finally retiring in 2007.
Steven is survived by his wife Sheila Hirsh Gershenoff, his son, daughter and two stepsons. He is also survived by his brother Barry Gershenoff. Steven loved to sail, sailing the Barnegat Bay in New Jersey and taking many trips with the Windjammer Sailing Club. He was a booster and member of the Villages Polo Club and the Del Webb Club 6 and Italian American Club. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Travel Club, traveling the world visiting many countries and in addition to touring taking time to meet people from a variety of cultures.
A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 County Road 25-A, Leesburg, Florida, on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steven’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
