Steven Rossiter Edmondson's Obituary
Steven Rossiter Edmondson, 71, was born in Orlando, Florida on December 18, 1952, and joyfully entered the Gates of Heaven on Friday, November 22, 2024 in Leesburg, Florida.
He was a lifelong Leesburg resident and graduated from Leesburg High School. He gave his life to The Lord at an early age and spent his life as a committed Christian. He was a patriot who loved our country, and served in the National Guard for five years. He was gifted in mathematics and served our community as an electrician for nearly fifty years. He loved spending time with family and friends, campling, singing, and was an avid Florida Gator football fan.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James B. and Vera Marie Edmondson.
He is survived by his daughter, “the apple-of-his-eye”, Cady Marie Rountree and her spouse Mark, his granddaughter, Nora Lynn Rountree, his brother, Jay Edmondson and his spouse Patsy, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held at Page-Theus Funeral Home, 914 W. Main Street, Leesburg, Florida on Friday, November 29, 2024. Public viewing at noon ; Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 County Road 25A, Leesburg, FL following.
In commemoration of Steve's passion for the Florida Gators, the family invites all those attending to wear orange and blue, colors that he proudly wore in support of his beloved team.
