Stephen Eric Roth's Obituary
Stephen Eric Roth “Steve”, 67, of Leesburg Florida went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024.
Born in Cincinnati, OH, to Bill and Evelyn Roth, he grew up in Louisville, KY, where he graduated West Port High School in 1974. In 1983, Steve met the love of his life, Valerie, whom he married in 1984.
Steve led his wife and three children to several cities including: Jackson, MS, Cincinnati, OH, and Leesburg, FL. Every time he moved his family, he made it a priority to establish his home on a firm foundation through Jesus Christ. Using his spiritual gift to build relationships, he created a strong sense of community everywhere he went. He will especially be missed by his neighbors of Arlington Ridge and church family of First Baptist Leesburg.
Steve held passions for biking, golf, and the Louisville Cardinals. He shared in his children’s interests, taking them to concerts, NASCAR races, and football games. He cherished the time with his four grandchildren who lovingly call him “Opa”. He maintained an incredible bond with his twin sister, Linney. Most of all, he devoted his life to his loving wife Val.
Steve obtained his Bachelors and MBA from the University of Louisville, and Masters in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis where he utilized his skills by serving in Hospital Administration for the majority of his career. In January of 2024, he began working at First Baptist Church Leesburg as the Facilities Director.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Valerie Hampton Roth, children Eric Stephen Roth (Cincinnati, OH), Jonathan and Kasi Roth (Madison, MS), Meredith Roth (Orlando, FL), grandchildren Evelyn Roth, Stephen Eric Roth, Emma Larsen Roth, and Myles Roth and his twin sister Linney Roth (Largo, FL). He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Evelyn Roth.
