Shirley Mae Page's Obituary
Shirley Mae Page, 88, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on December 29, 2023. Shirley was born in Bellevue, OH, on February 14, 1935, to her loving parents; Herbert and Hester (Ruppert) Lopeman.
In 1958, Shirley married her beloved husband, Paul . She worked for many years as a secretary at an elementary school until her retirement in 1990. At that time, Shirley and Paul moved from Geneva, OH, to Florida.
Following her retirement, Shirley worked for many years as a sales associate for JC Penny. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and especially Ohio State.
Shirley enjoyed spending her time gardening, doing yardwork, and birdwatching. She was known to be a social butterfly, it would not take long for her to know a stranger's life story, as Shirley was just that kindhearted and personable.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Penny (Page) Brantley, grandchildren; Nicholas (Caitlyn) Brantley and Amanda Brantley, a great grandchild, Kyleigh Brantley, two brothers; Edward (Shirley) Lopeman and Jerry (Sally) Lopeman, and two sister-in-law's; Marty Lopeman and Grete Lopeman as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Paul Mendal Page, a son; Paul Thomas Page, brothers; Robert Lopeman, David Lopeman, Tom (Mickie) Lopeman, Dick (Agnes) Lopeman and sisters; Ann (Jerry) Joslin and Martha Lopeman.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Shirley's loving memory to the St. James Memorial Fund.
