Shirley Palmer Hamblen, 72, of Dalton, Georgia passed away at the Tavares Hospice House on Thursday morning, November 15, 2018, after a three-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was the youngest of nine children of George and Rub Read Obituary
Shirley is my aunt, my daddy, Mack Palmers' little sister. I loved her SO much and growing up enjoyed spending time with her because she could always laugh in spite of any situation! I miss her, she would pray with me, talk or say hello! She and uncle John are very special to my family!

I met Shirley in Peachtree City, Georgia...She was a Executive Assistant for Stryker Corporation.... and she worked for me for the year I was Area Director of Sales in the Southeast.
Shirley was a great person, always smiling and full of positive thoughts as we planned and worked on Sales mesaages and numbers for the Southeast Territory ....
She was a loving mother...Daughter in Washington dancer, ...and she loved the cooking and cuisine of the area.... I was very fond of Shirley and her husband John who would visit frequently.
I can't believe she has passed, and I hope that I am able to see her in the next life....where good people who pray and hope go.....

I first met Shirley in the 90's when I worked for her at her secretarial service in Peachtree City, GA. We became friends and have kept in touch with visits to John and Shirley's home in Kent, WA and Leesburg, Fl. Shirley encouraged me during a difficult time in my life. She taught me how to scrapbook, but most of all how to enjoy the "family of God" because she was such an encourager. I can hear her "calling my name" now. Shirley had that uncanny ability to make you feel very special. She was one classy lady and will forever by loved by the many who were fortunate enough to know her. She was very proud of Jessica and the love of her life was John.
