Sherry A. Schroeder's Obituary
Sherry A. Schroeder, 69, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2019 at E.T. York Hospice House, Gainesville, Florida. Sherry was born on June 6, 1950 in East Cleveland, Ohio to her parents Frederick Alfred Schmiedt and Elizabeth Jane (Radloff) Schmiedt. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher working for Centerville City School District in Centerville, Ohio. Sherry and her loving husband George moved to Legacy of Leesburg in 2006 from Dayton, Ohio. Prior to her health declining Sherry was very active on the Social Committee at the Legacy of Leesburg community as well as being an avid Line Dance aficionado. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years: George Schroeder of Leesburg, FL; a daughter: Elizabeth Becker and her husband Jason of Naples, FL; a brother: Richard A. Schmiedt and his wife Hillary of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a dear friend: Olivia Anderson of Brasstown, NC; two loving granddaughters: Emmalyn Becker and Kaitlyn Becker both of Naples, FL. The family wishes to express a special Thank You to the Pulmonary Transplant Team at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, as well as the Care Team of Unit 67 East at Shands. Further, the family extends its deepest appreciation to her many loving friends at Legacy of Leesburg for their care and support throughout Sherry’s illness.
