Samuel Goldensohn's Obituary
Samuel Goldensohn, 75, of Lady Lake, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. Mr. Goldensohn was born August 7, 1939 in Richmond Hill, NY to Louis and Rose (Auster) Goldensohn. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked for many years in New York, hiring many men who were on probation, giving them a new start. He moved to Miami in 1979 and became a general contractor and after retiring moving to Lady Lake in 2000 from Naples. He was one of the founders of Families Anonymous and volunteered for many years as a counselor using the 12 step program. He also helped to draft the By-Laws for Temple Shalom in Oxford. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Hennie; children, Brian and Kathy Goldensohn, Nicole and Joe Harris, Jodie and Chris Hockaday and Heidi and Mark Williams; 7 grandchildren, Emma Adams, Lily Harris, Rochelle Hockaday, Jarrett Hockaday, Tori Williams, Justin Williams and Eli Williams along with his dedicated companion, Oliver. Graveside funeral services will be held 12:30pm, Monday, July 27, 2015, in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
