Sally A. Dorr's Obituary
Sally A. Dorr, 82, Leesburg, Florida passed away on September 9. 2017 at South Campus Rehabilitation Center, Leesburg, Florida surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dorr was born on September 6, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to her parents Jack A. Madore and Bernice E. (Roy) Madore. Mrs. Dorr and her husband moved to Leesburg in 1993 from Greenbush, Michigan. She was retired from the Township of Greenbush, Michigan where she had served as a Clerk of the Township. She was of the First Faith. When she was young girl she studied at the Fred Astaire academy in Chicago. From her late youth she began her career teaching tap dancing and ballet and worked hard in getting a salaried position at General Motors, then to Auto Dealers Auctions and finally to the Clerk’s position for the Township of Greenbush. She enjoyed sewing especially making clothing for her family. She loved to go to the beach, and enjoyed tap dancing and ballet. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years: Charles D. Dorr of Leesburg, FL; son: Chuck “Coco” Dorr and his wife Anna of Marquette, MI; daughter: Tara Dorr of Leesburg, FL; brother: Jack Madore and his wife Mary of Bloomington, IN; two grandchildren: Sally Norman and her husband Beau of Negaunee, MI and Jack Dorr of Loveland, CO and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in her loving memory. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.pagetheusfuneral.com.
