Ruth Eleanor Wehmeier's Obituary
Ruth Eleanor Wehmeier, 91 of Valrico, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio and The Villages, Florida went to be with her Lord on October 12, 2019. Ruth was born on January 25, 1928 in Cincinnati to August William and Eleanor Anna (Vanderhorst) Tenner. She married the love of her life Joseph H. Wehmeier in 1948 and centered her life around her love for her family. Ruth and Joseph moved to Florida in 1989 from Cincinnati. Joseph passed away after 66 years of marriage in 2015. Ruth played the piano and organ and served as her churches’ organist throughout her entire adult life in Cincinnati and after retiring to Florida. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, sang in the choir and participated in Meals on Wheels. Ruth was an avid golfer until the age of 83.
Ruth is survived by her son: Thomas (Pamela) Wehmeier; daughters: Linda (Richard) Lennerth and Sheryl Howell; Sister: Marian (Jim) Thomas; Grandchildren: Jason (Stephanie) Wehmeier, Katie (Eric) Chilton, Sarah (MJ) Welwood, Timothy (Yashira) Beson, Richard (Cary) Lennerth Jr, Meagan (Jeff) Sutton, Edward Lennerth, Tori Knopf, and Christopher Monroe; Sixteen Great-Grandchildren and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers William and Robert (Margaret) Tenner.
