Ruth A Langley's Obituary
Ruth Anna Langley, born on January 24th, 1935, in Miller, Ohio, was sent to her eternal home on October 12th, 2025, in Fruitland Park Florida.
Ruth Had a momentous life and enjoyed sharing her life experiences with family and friends. She was married at age 15 to her first husband Charlie Chapman. Divorcing a couple years later producing her first 2 children; Jack Chapman and Michael Chapman. Ruth married her second husband Marvin; of 45 years on September 14th, 1959, at age 24. Shortly after her marriage to Marvin, she traveled the country with the Carnival. She and Marvin settled down a few years later to raise their children. She worked in several industries before she settled on being an independent housekeeper for many years. She enjoyed working with the elderly and the satisfaction of helping others. She made many friends, including her long time “BFF” Louise Mccracken.
Ruth took great joy in spending her time with her grandkids and great grandkids in her later years. She fancied going to parties of any kind; laughing until she cried. She relished shopping and trying new recipes. (She was the go- to “cheeseburger” maker.) she enjoyed traveling with her family. She would revel in suspense novels and watching crime shows but mostly was entertained by scary movies and looked forward to going to Halloween Horror Nights with her son, Michael, every year until age prevented her from doing so.
She is preceded in death by her father Edward Miller, Mother Mary Miller (1993), brother Keith Miller, husband Marvin Langley (2004), daughter Melanie Langley (1987), son Jack Chapman (2018), son Michael Chapman (2021). She is survived by her children; Melodie Langley, Marian Furones (Jorge Furones), Mark Langley, Mitchell Langley (Becki Langley). Grandchildren; Nichole Webb, Chris Chapman, Jennifer Howard, Patrick Kirkland, Daniel Kirkland, Melanie Chapman, Jeff Langley, Christopher Lane, Dustin Langley, Garrett Langley, Victoria Haines, Zach Haines, William Furones, Justin Langley, Jaden Langley and Jeremy Langley. Great grandchildren; Serah Thompson, Joseph Baierl, Nicholas Baierl, Kendall Chapman, Kara Chapman, Andalyn Tucker, Marcel Guerrero Jr, Eric Haines, Zander Langley and Weston Langley. Great Great grandchildren; Tanner Thompson and Walker Thompson. Many nieces and nephews.
