Ruth M. Canney, 93 passed away on April 21, 2015. Ruth was born on May 20, 1921 in Haverhill, MA, to her parents Chester and Grace Spurr. Ruth moved to The Villages, FL, in 2010 from Lady Lake, FL. She enjoyed tennis, golf, bowling, and playing cards. Ruth is predeceased by her loving husband of over 35 years: Albert Canney. She is survived by her Son: Charles (Linda) Jackson Jr., of VA; Nieces: Carol (Dr. Pierre) Lieux, of The Villages, FL, Linda (Don) Gable, of Apopka, FL, Jacqueline (Richard) Volpi, of Santa Barbara, CA, Judith Burke, of Groveland, MA, Kathleen (Robert) Barber, of Jamestown, NY, and Pamela (George) Tarr, of Haverhill, MA; Nephew: Ronald (Elaine) Spurr, of Haverhill, MA; and two grandchildren. Ruth was a loving mother and aunt who will be deeply missed by many. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society on line at https://www.americancancerfund.org.
