Rudolph “Rudy” BalsanRudolph “Rudy” Balsan, 90, of Leesburg, FL passed away peacefully May13, 2011.Rudy honorably served his country during WWII on the USS Mt. Olympus. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He moved to FL shortly after his retirement in 1974 from Ocean Side Sanitation in N.Y. He was a member of the Hawthorn Bowling League in Leesburg.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of _____ years, Dorothy Balsan.He is survived by sons: Robert (Marylyn) Balsan and James (Kathy) Balsan; daughter, Linda (George) Bidell; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.Family and friends are requested to meet at the guard station in FL National Cemetery 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 15th for military honors.
