Roy F. Belton's Obituary
Roy F. Belton, 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11. 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Oct. 26, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Earle and Magdalene Belton. Roy served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He lived most of his life in the Queens, NY area, but moved here to central Florida in 2005 where he has made his home with his loving wife of 34 years, Teresa. Locally here in Florida he was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, and enjoyed various organizations such as the Gardening Club, Travel Club, and Theater Club. Roy had also served two terms as the Commander of the Ridgewood VFW Club, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus back in NY. He is survived by his wife; Teresa Belton of Leesburg, FL, three daughters; Lorraine (Ed) Wiley of Queens, NY, Leslie Belton also of Queens, and Jessica Belton of Leesburg, FL, and one grand daughter; Samantha. He is also survived by a brother; Grant (Audrey) Belton of Leesburg, FL and a sister-in-law; Kay Belton of Long Island, NY. Funeral Services for Mr. Belton were held on Tuesday, Apr 15, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in the St. Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg, FL.
