Rose Marie Reid's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rose M. Reid, a beloved mother, grandmother, and nurturing figure to many, who fought a courageous battle with dementia. She departed this world on October 21, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories.
Rose was born on December 3, 1941, in Buffalo, New York, a city that remained close to her heart throughout her life. Later, she found a second home in Clermont, Florida, where she spent her final years surrounded by her loving family.
Rose's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family. As a nanny for many years, she not only cared for children but nurtured them with love, kindness, and a gentle touch. Her influence extended far beyond her own family, leaving a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to know her.
Rose is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Reid, her cherished sons, Billy Hadaway and Jeffrey Hadaway, her dear brother, Bill Noah, and her sister, Sylvia Schwartz. Together, they await her with open arms in the eternal embrace.
She is survived by her loving son, John Hadaway, his devoted wife, Kim, and their adored daughters, Amanda and Sierra, who brought immeasurable joy to Rose's life. Her sister, Edna Cieri, stood as a pillar of strength and support throughout their lives, offering companionship and solace in both good times and bad.
In addition to her immediate family, Rose leaves behind a legacy that spans generations. Her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews will forever carry the lessons of love, compassion, and resilience that she so graciously imparted.
Above all, Rose was a doting Nana, a title she wore with pride and held dear to her heart. Her granddaughters, Amanda and Sierra, were the apple of her eye, and their laughter filled her days with immeasurable joy.
Rose M. Reid's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her spirit find peace in the eternal embrace, and may her family find solace in the enduring love she leaves behind.
A memorial service to celebrate Rose's life will be held on November 4, 2023 at 1pm @ Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, FL @ the mausoleum.
Rest in peace, dear Rose. You will be forever missed and eternally cherished.
