Ronney Lee Gardiner's Obituary
Ronney (Ron) passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born in Miami, FL, in 1944 to parents, L. C. and Dolores Gardiner and spent his life in middle Tennessee, St. Louis area, and central Florida. Ron’s career consisted of banking, collections, real estate management, and some farming. He loved coaching youth summer baseball from Little League through high school summer travel teams. He enjoyed wood carving after moving to Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen. They have two children - a daughter, Rhonda (Chris) Richard, and twin granddaughters, Hannah and Kinley of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a son, Byron Wayne Gardiner, Malone, Florida.
Ron is survived by sisters Barbara (Larry) Buckley, Janie Cashion, Carolyn (Barry) Burton, Eddie Gardiner, and a sister-in-law, Kathy Chapman, along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Leonard & Thelma Chapman, Sr., Leonard Chapman, Jr., Bobby Cashion, and Judy Gardiner.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Downtown Campus, 220 N. 13th Street, Leesburg, 34748. Interment will be in Martin Memorial Gardens, Martin, TN, in December.
