Roland Laneab Jitiam's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roland Laneab Jitiam, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who departed this life to be with the Lord.
Roland was born in the Marshall Islands to his late parents, Father: Roman Laneab and Mother: Mweju Jitiam Laneab. He grew up surrounded by the love of his family and community, where his character and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
He pursued his education with dedication, attending Delap Elementary School, then continuing to Marshall Islands High School, and later furthering his studies at the College of the Marshall Islands.
In 2007, Roland moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he began a new chapter of his life. After many years, he relocated once more in 2021 to Leesburg, Florida, where he lived until his passing. In each place, he touched lives with his warmth, faith, and compassion, leaving behind lasting memories and cherished friendships.
Roland cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his sisters, Romila Matan and others, and is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Merila Laneab Lokeijak. His life was a testament to love, perseverance, and the unshakable bond of family.
To those who knew him, Roland will be remembered as a man of kindness, faith, and encouragement. His presence brought light and comfort, and his memory will continue to inspire those he left behind.
Though Roland has departed from this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” – Psalm 23:1-2
